The Theatre
With no seat in the Theatre further than 100' from the stage, The Hemmens is a favorite of performers and patrons.

Main Floor
This view is taken from center stage, showing the performers' view of the Theatre.

South Balcony Approach
The approaches to the Balcony offer excellent views of downtown Elgin.

South Balcony
All of the seating areas offer clear views of the stage.

Center Balcony
The sound console is located in the center of the Balcony. Please do not feed the sound guy!

Box Office
The Hemmens’ Box Office is located in the center of the Lobbies.

Southeast Lobby
Access to the higher number seats and to the Administrative Offices can be found at the Southeast corner of the Lobby.

Southwest Lobby
The Southwest corner of the Lobby is an excellent location for pre- and post-event gatherings.

Northwest Lobby
Access to the backstage area and the elevator to the Lower Level as well as the Handicap entrance can be found in the Northwest corner of the Lobby.

Exhibition Hall
The 11,340 sq. ft. ExHall is used for banquets, wedding, quinceaneras, clothing shows, auctions and more. The room can be divided into two sections for smaller events.

Art Gallery
The Art Gallery, located on the Lower Level, displays many pieces purchased by the City during Elgin’s Fine Arts and Fox Fire Festivals.

Banquet Kitchen
The Kitchen is fully equipped with the appliances needed to cater your event.

Dressing Room 1
All of the dressing Rooms offer ample counter space with lighted make-up mirrors as well as wardrobe racks. Dressing Rooms 1 & 2 also offer private sink and shower facilities. DR-2 is a mirror image of DR-1.

Dressing Room 3
All of the dressing Rooms offer ample counter space with lighted make-up mirrors as well as wardrobe racks. DR-4 is the same as DR-3.

Green Room
The Green Room provides a comfortable setting for performers to prepare for and relax after performances.

Rehearsal Room
Located under the Stage Right wing, the Rehearsal Room is commonly used as an extension of the Green Room. Several chairs and couches provide a comfortable setting for performers to prepare for and relax after performances. A semi-private Production Office space is located in the corner.

Trap Room / Choral Room
The Trap Room is located directly below the stage and has five trap doors in its ceiling. Used as a chorus dressing room, it has several wardrobe racks and make-up stations.
